We love and care for the doggies that we take under our wing. Our primary objective is to assist them in finding a wonderful forever home with compassionate individuals who will treat them as a cherished family member.

First Steps by SBAH
Prior to offering the doggies for adoption, we vaccinate, microchip, sterilise and check on their health. Only, when the doggies are ready, because they sometimes come from difficult conditions, we start looking for a suitable home for them.
Adopter Gets in Touch
If you are interested in any of the doggies on our website, please, contact us. If you don't see the doggie of your life here, do contact us anyway, because we are always in touch with other rescues that might have the one that you are looking for and can help you with the search.
The First Meet-up
Once we are contacted by a person interested in adoption, we organise a meet-up in order for both the potential adopter and the doggie to see if they can fall in love.
Visit to the Potential New Home
We arrange a visit to the potential new home to ensure that the circumstances are right for both.
Fostering the Doggie
The adopter fosters the doggie(s) for several weeks, to see whether they really get along.
Adopting the Doggie
Once we all conclude that this is the match made in heaven, the paperwork for a formal adoption is processed....
... and they lived happily ever after...

Adoption Fees
We ask for a donation, that is always greatly appreciated (given that each dog costs Santa Barbara Animal Help a minimum of €750) and the donations are exclusively used to finance rehoming dogs' costs.
